So now it's been almost 3 weeks since the operation. Things are loking pretty good, literally. My vision seems to have stabilised, it's better than what it was with glasses before!
I had my 1 week checkup and the optometrist said that things were recovering well, though I may have rubbed my right eye which was why it was still painful.. She recommended that I keep using the anti-biotic and anti-inflammatory drugs for another week, to make sure nothing goes wrong. But within 10 days of the operation everything cleared up and the pain has all but gone. It still hurts if I accidently touch my eye (not the eye itself, of course!) Even touching the closed eyelid still causes some pain. The bruising has mostly gone, and there are some pink marks where they were.
My night vision still isn't that great. I see big halos around bright lights, but apparently that will clear up. But even if it doesn't, I still think it's worth it. I don't think my brain has gotten used to not having glasses.. I still try to take them off when I go to sleep and look for them when I wake up!
Unfortunately I've managed to get the mother of all colds last week and have been stuck in bed pretty much the last 4 days! It's really not improving much.. :( Going back to my GP to get test results to see WTF is going on.. )
